CLEANING PASTE

CLEANING PASTE

This is my favourite home made cleaning paste which I use in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry a lot for those jobs that need a light abrasive. I think I originally got the recipe for this from Wendyl Nissen close to 10 years ago. I do often swap out the essential oil option depending on what I’ve got in the cupboards or what mood I’m in, but peppermint is a great option.

CLEANING PASTE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Baking Soda
1 tbsp Cream of Tartar
10ml Liquid Castle Soap or Dishwash Liquid
5ml Water
1ml Peppermint Essential Oils
NB: Make sure to check the safety guidelines around any essential oils that you use.

DIRECTIONS:
Add the baking soda and cream of tartar to a bowl.
Premix the liquid soap with the water.
Slowly add the liquid mix into the baking soda mixture until you have a paste.
You can add more water as required if the mixture is too dry.
Add the essential oil and mix through.
Store in an airtight container.
