Basic bar soap range on a curing tray

NEW PRODUCT RANGE - Basic Bars

Introducing our new Basic Bar soap range, a collection of hand-crafted soaps that are perfect for everyday use. As long as they are well-drained between uses, these bars last really well, and with all the nourishing oils, I find that they don’t dry my hands out (and moving between the gardens and feeding kids all day my hands get washed a lot)! Our family loves using them as hand soap in the bathroom sink, but they are equally great as a body bar in the shower.

Each soap in this range is carefully crafted using the cold-processed method, ensuring that we preserve as many of the  beneficial properties of the ingredients that we can.

Handmade with love, these soaps are gentle on the skin and provide a luxurious lather that leaves your skin feeling clean and nourished.

Experience the blessings of nature with our basic-bar soap range, a perfect choice for those seeking a high-quality, affordable soap option.

A bit about our Basic Bar range ingredients:

Olive Oil: Helps to make a hard, long-lasting soap with a gentle cleansing lather that is generally suitable for even the most sensitive skins. High in Oleic acid and antioxidants, a soap made with olive oil will help to condition, soften, and soothe your skin.

Coconut Oil:
Also helps to create a hard, long-lasting bar with a gentle cleansing and soothing lather. It is antifungal, antimicrobial and helps to remove dead skin cells while creating a protective moisturising shield on the skin. Coconut oil is full of antioxidants and is composed of healthy saturated fats and vitamins like vitamin E, amino acids, lauric acid, and caprylic acid which is great for you overall skin health.

Ricebran Oil:
Is rich in essential fatty acids, trace elements, vitamin E, antioxidants, and mineral salts. It helps to moisturise the skin and promotes skin microcirculation. Rice bran oil has healing, restructuring, and soothing qualities that can help to reduce skin inflammation. It also contributes to the bars luscious lather.

Castor Oil:
Increases the lather in the soap giving it a rich and creamy texture and a very bubbly feel. It is also a humectant, which means that it helps to keep your skin moisturised and conditioned.

Essential Oils:
We use these in our soaps to naturally fragrance our bars as well as for their wonderful healing and supporting qualities. Essential oils may fade in fragrance over time quicker than the synthetic fragrances but the active qualities of the oils are still believed to hold their benefits during the life of your soap. One of the reasons we use the cold-processed soap method is to help reduce the temperatures so as to not significantly reduce the essential oil benefits

Mica:
This is what we use to colour our soaps. It is a catch-all term for 34 silicate minerals and the colour variations depend on what type of rock it comes from. Mica itself is completely natural but some of the cosmetic-grade colour varieties that are available these days are enhanced with different oxides, mineral colours, and colour pigments.
